Fwd: [Mindset Adjustment] Simple tweak to your thinking rakes it in...

Hey, I'm in Cleveland, as a featured speaker for Dan Kennedy's huge GKIC event here.

Tomorrow night, I'll be onstage with him…

… doing our "Old Dogs Bark" ask-us-anything show. Should be kickass.

Last time we did this, few years back, we blew the roof off the joint.

Turns out, there's a lot of interesting things people want to ask us grizzled veterans. It stirs up some truly awesome (and sometimes gruesome) memories and ancient advice that still holds.

I anticipate a truly off-the-rails evening.

Meantime, I want to share some "reframing" advice I gave a recent consulting client, which blew him away.

Here it is: When you put up your website, offering something that your prospects truly need…

… especially if it's relevant to their lives in ways that will transform their future…

then you've got to stop being meek.

Look at your role this way: You are the Master Guide…

… the guy with the keys to the magic door, behind which…

… is a Disneyland of awe and delight and good things for your prospect.

You are the guy who can kickstart the biggest adventure of their life…

… one they'd never have access to without you as a guide.

I don't care WHAT you offer… if it's an honest product or service, and it's needed by people out there, who can't easily find anything this good anywhere else…

… then you're in the catbird seat.

BE that guide who can take them by the hand…

and lead them into the adventure of their lives.

Or at least the best solution to whatever annoying problem is holding them up.

It's just a very simple way to envision your role, as you write your website copy and your emails and your ads luring folks into the world you've created.

And ENJOY the role. It can be an adventure for you, too.

I'll let you know how Cleveland went.

Stay frosty,

John

P.S. If you'd like more simple-but-powerful advice just like this for your career and biz…

… be sure to check this out. …
