Video lesson workflow

How Long Does It Take to Write Content for your Program Video's
I wanted to share this with you all.
I spend no less than 6 hours per video for myself when creating new program content videos that range from 5-10 minutes.  But this can also vary depending on a few factors.  It is good to have realistic expectations when planning out creating new content and promoting a specific launch date.  So what's involved with my workflow and are there ways to short cut this?
Current Work Flow
- Sketch out member's journey (Begining, middle, end).
- Setup template documents for lesson content.
- Brainstorm the key Actions I want my member to do by the end of the lesson (I often use a voice recording app or device to just talk and get thoughts out, then I go back and pull out the nuggets from the audio).
- Begin the first draft of the script (I usually let it sit for 30 min to a day before I go back and read it again to make corrections, it usually takes me 4-6 drafts or more before I really have what I want. Once again, I usually use a voice app or recording device to free talk the lesson and then get the nuggets out).
- Spell check, clean up and set as "The Script" for that lesson.
- Export the script to a teleprompter app to record.
- Setup shooting day (I usually try to film all these videos back to back, so I usually get a haircut and clean up real nice), don't forget about a green screen, lights, stand, mic, and one last look in the mirror before the filming starts, aka check your nose).
- It usually takes 3-4 takes per video to get the script and rythmn down.
- Export and edit the video to computer and try to minimize the breathing, any filler words (your teleprompter should have helped minimize that), pauses and any final color correction or clips or cards needed.
- While the video is rendering I also can transcribe the video if it needs captions as well as create a video title, description, thumbnail, and any other key fixings.
- I then upload it to a video hosting service like YouTube, Vimeo, Vooplayer or others (there are a lot to choose from).
- Create the Kyvio lesson and embed the video, any text or supporting material and a few other embedded tools.
- Test the program content by exiting all browser tabs and opening one up as a program member.
- Once everything works, I create a little 'Announcement' post for the private FB group about the new content.
A lot of these steps can be skipped if you film "dirty" and just free speak.  Those who really know their craft and what to say and are not camera shy can usually do this really well.
That is my current workflow. What's your workflow, any thoughts or tricks?

Fwd: Routine & Recovery: My Entire Plan ✅

This is all the nonsense I have to do just to SURVIVE my events

"Few people realize that so much joy and bliss can come from doing incredibly hard things."

Steve

I'm back home after an epic 5-day certification training for 300 of the top-level coaches in the world.

I'm resting up, and thought I'd share how I survive and recover on this beautiful Sunday.

My ENTIRE event routine and recovery plan is in this loonnng, super detailed email!

The event I just finished was for, basically, the Navy Seals of life coaching and executive coaching. They're called Certified High Performances Coaches. It takes EVERYTHING out of me to deliver their training.

But sometimes the HARD things we take on -- and the excellence we demand from ourselves -- is what personal development is all about. Right?

I think few people realize that so much joy and bliss can come from doing incredibly hard things.

For me, this 5-day event is the hardest thing I do all year.

Most of my peers in the industry consider it the most difficult event in the world for a single trainer to deliver. (More on that below).

So I thought I'd share my recovery routines for you guys because I KNOW you take on hard things too, othewise you wouldn't be in my tribe. And I hope to inspire you to develop routines that help you perform at your BEST!

How Hard Is This Event?

I'm always asked by new speakers or influencers how the heck can I deliver 5 days of training on stage, at my intensity level and programming, without a MC or other speakers, without collapsing or losing my energy, voice or focus.

First, you should know, it has NEVER been easy.

And the truth is, I spent my first 5 years teaching events (on average 8 per year), just trying new things. I was a mess - losing like 11 pounds per event and not feeling I had enough energy.

But I got it dialed in because I had no other choice!

And while I get a ton of attention for this, I also have an AMAZING team who helps me execute this event, twice per year, in addition to EIGHT other large events! Can't do it without them!

But I'll focus this email on my personal routines at the event.

Full disclaimer: What works for me now might not work for everyone.

I can tell you one thing...

Even today, after all these years on stage -- coming up on 19 years teaching in some form or another ...

It's still not easy for me.

I REALLY have to PREPARE to endure the long hours.

I need to prepare a solid curriculum plan, and an equally strong recovery game at the events.

To give you context before I share my plan, here's a little about the 5-day event.

Have you ever prepared a 60-minute speech, and worried that you might forget what to say?

Have you ever lost your voice, just talking for an hour or so?

Have you ever given an hour-long presentation, and felt exhausted afterwards?

Well, try 45 *hours* of content and speaking!

That 45hrs doesn't even include the time preparing or managing the event.

So, Certification Week is over 45 hours of standing, training advanced curriculum, and running an event for the highest-level coaches in the world. They don't put up with b.s. and they expect awesome.

We do nearly 100 pages of curriculum together, and dozens of role plays executing the only academically validated high performance coaching framework in existence.

Honestly, just remembering and preparing for what comes next is mentally fatiguing.

If you don't know the coaching industry, most coaches simply teach from their opinion.

We train from validated science, and empirical insights from over 40,000 rated sessions from 80+ countries around the world. It's rigorous to say the least.

Plus—the level of ENERGY and PASSION I attempt to bring is *not* the  kind of relaxed, easy delivery that happens at multi-day retreats. (If you've ever seen me speak live, you know how much energy I bring for you!).

There is no MC. No other speakers brought in.

Just me.

Sometimes I bring coaches on stage -- but I'm still there, guiding it. I really don't get a second off. Dumb decision, I know. But it's my jam.

We all have ways we push ourselves -- this is mine.

My vitals show I basically run a marathon per day, for five days.

Think about that.

A marathon per day. For five days. And I'm no athlete, so it's HARD.

I have a pace I have to keep -- because the AUDIENCE is so dang good!

These coaches aspire to be the BEST in the world. Many of them have been life coaches or executive coaches for a very long time. Many are truly expert in their craft. Many are new and wanted to be the best from the get-go -- they skip the online marketer coaching world and actually get certified from someone who does real coaching with a science-backed curriculum from our Institute.

Many of these coaches come from corporate America and coach or will coach at the largest companies in the world.

People pay $10,000 to get certified, making it one of the highest-level certifications in the world. (If you ever want to join this elite few, apply for our 2020
Cert Week).

To say the least, the expectations are ENORMOUS and the ripple effect opportunity is a great huge blessing.

I truly want to deliver for these folks.

So you can imagine, just like multi-millionaire atheletes prepare well because they are paid to, so do I.

Keep in mind I do 8 other 4-day events, and our main business is online education, so even while I'm at the event there's the reality that we are still, simultaneously, running four companies with over 100 employees and serving millions of students.

It's a LOT to deal with if I don't get my head on straight and practice my high performance habits all year.

I hope that tells you a little about why I take this SO seriously, and have tried to become my best for my audience.

My Routine & Recovery

Let's start with this:

Recovery begins BEFORE you need it!

I try to stay in optimum health all year long, so that my events aren't huge shocks to the system.

I've previously shared that me and Denise's lifestyle keeps me focused, healthy, and ready to serve most of the year.

But let's get to it, and talk PREGAME.

Here's the plan right before the big event:

1. 3 weeks before the event, I switch my workout scheduling from lifting to nothing but cardio and extended, aggressive HIIT work. I need extraordinary lung capacity and marathon-level endurance.

2. I also incorporate a ridiculous amount of mobility work and stretching -- because I have to cover a 30-40 foot wide stage all day, every day, walking sideways, basically, and jumping up and down 4-6 times per day leaping across that stage. The torque on your hips is crazy on stage.

3. 45 days prior to the event, I try to pack on 8-11 extra pounds. Not all lean, either. I need some fat to fuel me that many days!

4. I spend a full week on my off hours preparing the teaching, even though I've delivered this curriculum for 7 years. I go through every sheet, every slide, every role play, every possible Q&A, every announcement. I envision the first day of the event meticulously prior to arrival. You wouldn't assume that backstage, because the reality is I STILL have to wing a lot of the event's flow, based on how the audience is responding. So I come prepared but super flexible.

5. 2 weeks out, I cut out most vices. Rarely any bread and I don't drink any alcohol or coffee... though for sure I sometimes fail on that if friends are around or I want a treat.

6. I review my notes and student surveys from prior years, looking for how to improve.

7. I personally design and create all the handouts, worksheets, and presentations so I know them backward and forward.

GAMETIME

At the event, it's all about pacing, food, meditation, stretching, and stress management.

Of course, most people just want to know what I eat and how I supplement, so I'll get to that.

Here's the full plan:

1. Every morning I wake up and do mobility, calisthenics and yoga for 15 minutes, followed by 3 sets squat presses with 35lbs dumbbells to kick the hormones on.

2. Breakfast is a 3-egg omelet with veggies, avocado toast, a bowl of spinach, a bowl of blueberries. I also make a coconut milk protein shake with about 20 grams of vanilla vegan protein. I need to start pounding the calories early.

3. I do vocal warmups all morning, for about 20-30 minutes total. I also do vocal warmups after every lunch break before going back on stage.

4. I'm CONSTANTLY moving backstage -- I do calisthenics, Qigong, shadow boxing, stretching.

5. I have a backstage manager and friend, Mel Abraham, who is on radio to the entire team. He and I work together to call the entire show backstage -- what music to play, what handouts are needed, how long each session might go. He's the man, and a helluva business expert in his own right. I think we've done like 70 events together.

6. I do a mid-morning protein shake with more avocados, spinach and blueberries. I don't add any nut butters, sugars or citric acids because they can cause phlem. I do another shake, if I'm paying attention, mid-afternoon.

7. I have a supplement stack I swear by, anchored by my HPX OPTIMIZED supplement for mental clarity and brain optimization. (Get it here). I take a multi, and have a longevity and anti-inflamm stack that includes fish oil, curcumin, maqui berry, astralagus. I also take ginger, probiotics, and a complete amino acid supplement for repair.

8. If I'm dogging it, I'll have a pre-workout that includes caffeine. I never had caffeine for the first 6 years of events. But  the year after my brain injury, I found it can save me if my brain has trouble kicking on. I only have like 40mg though -- about a green tea's worth -- and that will light me up like Christmas!

IMPORTANT: Do not drink HOT water, ever, while speaking. Ever. The old *bad* advice about green tea and honey? Lame - not science. Hot water expands tissue, and when your vocal cords are inflamed the LAST thing you need is to gulp hot water and sugar! If I have caffeine, it's from a pre-workout mix shaken in room temperature water with some electrolytes thrown in.

9. No one is allowed backstage in my green room. No VIPs, no celebs, no friends or family until we finish. My mom is allowed, and so is team, but they know just to pop in and be brief. If I need to know something, the team radios Mel so that I can have my space. This is so important to my creativity -- to be alone and have time to think.

10.
Water is life. I drink electrolytes twice per day and still need about 10-12 liters of water per day. When you're running, jumping, dancing, speaking, and projecting on stage at that level, you need way more water than you think. If you've ever been to a concert and thought, "How can that performer do 3 hours?"... then imagine 5 days, 45 hours. Again, no other speakers, no use of video, just boring ol' me.

11. I meditate at lunch, always. I even try to get in a short 15 minute power nap. Lunch is usually fish or chicken tacos, and more spinach, berries and avocados. I eat until I'm 120% full. Ugh. I don't like to eat that much, but need to.

12. Dinner is usually tons of veggies, salmon and quinoa, or every other day steak. Tons of greens. I eat until I'm 130% full. It's aweful but I need those calories. Post-dinner I stretch, do mobility work, then...

13. ICE BATH. Yep, every night. If you filled up those little hotel ice buckets, you'd need about 30 of them. Luckily, they send me up huge containers or bags of ice. I run cold water, put in the ice and immediately add about 10 cups of epsom salt. I do 9-14 minutes in the ice bath depending on my mood. NOTE: Don't try this without medical advice, permission and supervision. I've found this knocks out all my inflammation and sorness, and helps me sleep like a baby.

14. After the ice bath, I take a cool shower. (I don't cold-hot cycle at events. That's for spa days or recovery days. At events, it's cold cold cold). After the shower, I do one more round of stretching and I'm OUT. I sleep 8 hours every night, no problem. I'm exhausted, and I sleep 8 hours every other night at home anyway. (Note: Do NOT change your sleeping rhythm at big events!).

15. After dinner and prior to bed, it's no phone, no email, no socials, no news, no noise. I've been with hundreds of people all day, so this is me time, quiet time. I turn the temperature down to 66 degrees, block out all light, pray and give gratitude, and sleep peacefully. It's critical that I don't try to plan the next day. I save that for the morning, so my mind can be at peace after a full day of service.

I know that sounds like a lot. But when you do this for a living, you get a routine!

The truth is, despite all the demands, I don't often feel super tired at the events because YOU guys energize me so much.

Every time I see a light go on in someone's eyes, and witness their life-transforming right in front of me... well, THAT is ENERGIZING.

Post-Event Recovery

I finish CHPC at around 6PM on Friday, after taking photos with attendees.

I say "my part," because my team still needs to break everything down, from the staging and lighting to all the gear, swag, banners, etc.

It truly takes a village to do what we do.

But when I'm done....

I eat a celebratory meal, usually a monster burrito or a steak with all the fixings. Then I stretch and do mobility work for about 30 minutes. Then an ice bath, directly into a hot shower, and cycle that 2-3 times. (Again, don't do ice baths without training or supervision, period).

Then more stretching, and then I'm DEAD tired. I nap for 2-3 hours, wake up, talk to team if needed, eat again, and wind down again.

When I travel home the next day, I don't speak for the next 72hrs. Not a peep. No whispering. No talking at all.

I'm usually alone recovering, but if I'm with Denise we just text each other, even as we face each other at dinner. NO TALKING. Not a peep. That's the rule to allow my voice to heal.

That's how I still sound human after a decade at this level. (Because remember, I also do about 10 videos or lives per week, so I'm always using my voice not just as a stage trainer).

Over the years, I've come to value the recovery and reflection that happens in silence.

I'm entirely silent, without speaking a word, for over 20 days of the year. It's become meditative for me.

During these critical post-event 72 hours, I focus on sleep, walking, stretching, mobility, reading books, naps.

I don't workout the first day, just brisk walks, then light workouts the next two so that I continue flushing the system. By the 4th day I'm back at my 2x2s. (That's 2 days of 60 minute cardio, and 2 days of weights/HITT).

I truly try to relax after an event. Books and movies help. Often, life or work can get in the way, so I have to do some team texts and emails, or run errands with Denise. But in general, I'm really good about these 72 hours of recovery.

When I don't prioritize recovery, I suffer, my work suffers, the mission suffers.

Long email, I know! But I hope that gives some insight into my events and life.

I also hopes inspire you own routines and recovery.

Seriously.... I know you've had a long, long year, my firends...so...

Prioritize creating great routines and prioritize your recovery! Because the world needs you at your best,

- Brendon

Amarantus Provides Recapitalization Update to Shareholders

  • Pending license with Emerald provides opportunity to realize therapeutic portfolio value
  • V w/Todos announces full enrollment for LymPro Alzheimer's blood test clinical trial
  • Amarantus management evaluating dividend of Todos shares to Amarantus shareholders after Todos Nasdaq CM uplist

New York, NY USA – November 18, 2019 –  Amarantus Bioscience Holdings, Inc. (OTC Pink: AMBS) ("Amarantus," or AMBS), a US-based JLABS-alumnus biotechnology holding company developing proprietary orphan neurologic, regenerative medicine and ophthalmic therapies and diagnostics through its subsidiaries, today released a letter to its shareholders following the announcement of the binding term sheet to license the Company's therapeutics subsidiaries' technologies to Emerald Organic Products, an emerging CBD-focused health sciences company, and other recent events:

Dear Valued Shareholder,

I am pleased to provide an update regarding progress on several fronts and on the plan to deliver a recapitalization of the Company that would allow for shareholders to benefit from the value of Amarantus' exciting portfolio.  Our goal has been to place our development programs into separate subsidiary companies, and then work with partners to attract financial resources to advance these programs through FDA approval and into commercialization via those subsidiaries. This plan would also allow for the settlement of the Company's outstanding liabilities and potentially provide significant upside for Amarantus shareholders.

As previously announced, we entered into joint venture via our Breakthrough Diagnostics subsidiary with Todos Medical, Ltd. to develop our neurodiagnostics technologies, led by blood screening diagnostic LymPro Test™ for Alzheimer's disease, and we have agreed to license our therapeutic portfolios to Emerald Organic Products. These transactions provide a promising path forward for our programs. Amarantus will own Todos common shares equating to approximately 49% of Todos common shares immediately prior to Todos completing a capital raise to list its common shares on the Nasdaq Capital Markets (Nasdaq CM), and Amarantus will own convertible preferred stock with a face value of $100M in Emerald upon closing of the pending license agreement of our therapeutics portfolio to Emerald. The Company will also receive royalties from product sales. Amarantus also continues to hold a 31.5% common equity position in Avant Diagnostics, which was taken private in first half of 2019. Avant is preparing to relaunch the Theralink® phosphoprotein tumor analysis platform back into the marketplace in 2020.

I am also confirming our plans remain to complete our capital restructuring by conducting a capital raise via Reg A.

In addition, Amarantus management has begun to evaluate the timing, amount and record date of a potential dividend of a portion of the shares Amarantus receives from Todos to its common shareholders.  This dividend assumes the successful completion of the Breakthrough acquisition by Todos and related uplisting of Todos common shares to Nasdaq CM, and would be tangible recognition of ongoing support of Amarantus by its shareholders.

Transactions Summary

Todos Medical JV Status: The goal of the joint venture agreement with Todos announced in Q4 2018 was to fund the further development by Amarantus' subsidiary Breakthrough Diagnostics, Inc. and its lead product blood diagnostic LymPro Test™ for Alzheimer's disease.

  • Amarantus received approximately 19.99%of Todos Medical common shares in exchange for 19.99% of Breakthrough common shares and a commitment to provide funding for a LymPro PET imaging correlation clinical trial conducted at Leipzig University. In Q2 2019, we announced positive data from an interim analysis of that clinical trial, triggering the exercise of Todos' option to acquire of the remaining unowned 80.01% of Breakthrough Diagnostics.
  • Todos is currently in the process of listing its common shares on the Nasdaq Capital Market (Nasdaq CM), a process expected to be completed in Q4/2019 or Q1/2020. At that time, Amarantus will receive additional common shares of Todos to bring Amarantus' ownership in Todos to 49% prior the expected uplist capital raise.
  • On November 14, 2019, Todos and Amarantus announced that full enrollment of the clinical trial had been achieved with topline results expected before the end of Q1/2020.

We believe the blood based diagnostic LymPro Test™ for Alzheimer's disease holds great promise for use in assisting pharmaceutical companies in recruiting/conducting clinical trials and, ultimately, providing physicians with a much-needed diagnostic tool by measuring amyloid PET deposits and brain immune cell cycle dysregulation (CCD) using blood. Given the recent Aducanumab data announced by Biogen (NASDAQ: BIIB) that is directly related to the amyloid hypothesis, as well as the conditional approval by the National Medical Products Administration in China for the first new Alzheimer's drug in over 20 years, called Oligomannate from Shanghai Green Valley Pharmaceuticals that is based on gut-brain biology of the microbiome and its effects on the immune system, we believe there will be renewed enthusiasm for LymPro because it dynamically measures two fundamental aspects of Alzheimer's biology using blood.

Todos is also in the process of preparing for the commercial launch of its TM-B1 and TM-B2 screening blood tests for breast  cancer with launch expected in the first half of 2020 under an already established CE mark following completion of a clinical trial being funded by Todos' commercial partner Orot+ in Romania. We expect Todos to continue to make progress towards this critical milestone in the months ahead. Breast cancer screening represents an area with significant untapped commercial potential internationally, as well as in the United States.

Emerald Organic Products: In late October 2019, the Company announced that it entered into a binding term sheet to license the therapeutic technologies from its majority-owned subsidiaries Elto Pharma, Cutanogen and MANF Therapeutics to Emerald Organic Products ( 'Emerald').

Amarantus will be receiving at the closing of the transaction (execution of the license):
  • Preferred Stock in Emerald that is convertible in April 2022 into:
    • 50M shares of Emerald common stock ('Stock"), with an assumed value in April 2022 of at least $100M
    • In the event in April 2022 the Stock is worth less than $100M, Emerald will make-up the difference between $100M and the value of the Stock via cash payments to Amarantus of additional royalties
  • Royalties
    • Amarantus will receive a royalty of sales of products licensed by Emerald, and, can buy a higher royalty percentage in increments

With this structure in place, Amarantus shareholders are positioned for near-term value from the proposed dividend of Todos stock, while mid and long-term investors can maintain participation in the longer-term value creation from the overall Amarantus portfolio and programs that remain, including Todos Medical, Inc. and Avant Diagnostics.

Emerald is a CBD company, with branded consumer products being launched via established national distribution channels, run by a team of seasoned executives with proven track records of generating results in the nutritional supplement and consumer packaged goods businesses. CBD provides an opportunity to leverage the emerging wellness and health market, by combining it with sound clinical and regulatory science to bring products to market that have the potential to meaningfully improve health while reducing healthcare spending.  Emerald's business plan involves securing traditional in-store and online distribution channels for its CBD products, and strategically acquiring controlling interests in companies with complementary niche products, capabilities, brands and distribution channels that can be leveraged to generate value for other members of the Emerald family of companies, ultimately allowing for increased overall sales and distribution on a consolidated basis.

By partnering Amarantus' valuable pipeline of FDA regulated biopharmaceutical product candidates with Emerald Life Sciences, Emerald's emerging biopharmaceutical division, Emerald  plans to separate itself from other CBD companies by having proprietary biopharma assets that collectively could generate substantial cash flow in the mid-2020s, once the eltoprazine, ESS and MANF assets have been brought to market for their various therapeutic indications. Unlike traditional biopharma companies, Emerald is projecting to generate significant cash flows from its CBD based businesses with a target of reaching over $100 million in consolidated revenue in 2021 from product sales of its CBD and related products. With this strategy in place, we believe Emerald can become a premier branded CBD company focused on capturing a significant share of the CBD market, both in the US and internationally, and enhance value creation by seeing the promise of the Amarantus pipeline realized for patients suffering from diseases or dysfunction where anecdotal evidence suggests cannabinoids may be beneficial.

Importantly, going forward Emerald will be assuming the costs of developing the eltoprazine, Engineered Skin Substitute, MANF and PhenoGuard programs. We believe there is tremendous value in the Amarantus portfolio:

  • Eltoprazine: Elto Pharma, Inc. – addressable market $60B+
    • Phase 3: Adult ADHD. Next Step: Reformulation
    • Phase 2b - Parkinson's levodopa-induced dyskinesia: Next Step: Reformulation -
    • Phase 2 Agitation in Alzheimer's. Next Step: Range Finding Studies
  • ESS: Engineered Skin Substitute (Cutanogen Corporation) – addressable market $5B+
    • Phase 3: Pediatric Severe Burns. Next Step: Chart Review Extension Study from published Phase 2 data to optimize Phase 3 endpoints
    • Overall Skin Graft Market
  •  Mesencephalic Astrocyte-derived Neurotrophic Factor (MANF Therapeutics) – addressable market $100B+
    • Retinal Vision Loss – Preclinical
      • Wolfram Syndrome (orphan)
      • Retinitis Pigmentosa (orphan)
      • Glaucoma
      • Macular Degeneration
    • Neurological Conditions – Preclinical
      • Parkinson's disease
      • Traumatic Brain Injury
      • Alzheimer's disease
      • Epilepsy
    • Diabetes - Preclinical
      • Wolfram Syndrome (orphan)
      • Type-1 and Type diabetes
      • Biomarker for pre-diabetes / beta-cell health
    • Cardiovascular disease - Preclinical
      • Myocardial infarction
    • Hearing Loss - Preclinical
      • Antibiotic-induced hearing loss (orphan)
      • Tinnitus
    • Immune stimulation - Preclinical
      • Certain B-cell cancers
  • PhenoGuard
    • Discovery of other MANF-like proteins
    • Evaluation of cannabinoid activity on astrocytes and neurons

Avant Diagnostics: In the first half of 2016, Amarantus provided funding for Avant Diagnostics to acquire Theranostics Health, Inc., a cancer biomarker company focused on phosphoprotein tumor analysis that provides actionable information to physicians to make recommendations about which FDA approved drug combinations are likely to be most successful in treating cancer on an individual basis, and, equally importantly, which common FDA approved drugs are likely to be ineffective or potentially dangerous for treating certain cancers on an individual basis. This powerful technology is rooted in intellectual property from George Mason University centered around the cell cycle biomarkers involved in the mTOR pathway, as well as other pathway markers such as HER2. Amarantus continues to hold a 31.5% common equity position in Avant, and we believe Avant has tremendous opportunity to alter the way cancer is treated worldwide.

Conclusion

We are encouraged by the progress in recent months and the strength of the opportunities to move our programs forward.  We see significant synergy in our product and IP portfolios, and see areas for potential collaborations that could accelerate growth.

I would personally like to thank each shareholder for their continued support of our mission of bringing life-saving treatments to patients, and we are excited to see this mission fulfilled through Emerald Organic Products while Amarantus and its shareholders reap the rewards from the significant investments we have made over the 12 years.

Warmest Regards,

Gerald Commissiong
President & CEO

Amarantus also owns approximately 30% of the common shares of Avant Diagnostics, Inc., a healthcare data-generating technology company that specializes in biomarker assay services that target multiple areas of oncology.  Avant provides precision oncology data through its TheraLink® assays to assist the biopharmaceutical industry and clinical oncologists in identifying likely responders, initially for breast cancer, to over 70 FDA-approved drug treatments.

AMBS 50%-owned subsidiary Elto Pharma, Inc. has development rights to eltoprazine, a Phase 2b-ready small molecule indicated for Parkinson's disease levodopa-induced dyskinesia, Alzheimer's aggression and adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, commonly known as ADHD. The   AMBS acquired Cutanogen Corporation from Lonza Group in 2015. Cutanogen is preparing for pivotal studies with Engineered Skin Substitute (ESS) for the treatment of pediatric life-threatening severe burns. ESS is a regenerative medicine-based, autologous full-thickness skin graft technology originally developed by the Shriner's Hospital that can be used to treat severe burns, as well as several other catastrophic and cosmetic dermatological indications. AMBS' wholly-owned subsidiary, MANF Therapeutics Inc. owns key intellectual property rights and licenses from a number of prominent universities related to the development of the therapeutic protein known as mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor ("MANF"). MANF Therapeutics is developing MANF-based products as treatments for ophthalmological disorders such as Wolfram Syndrome, Retinitis Pigmentosa and Glaucoma, as well as neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease. MANF was discovered by the Company's Chief Scientific Officer John Commissiong, PhD. Dr. Commissiong discovered MANF from AMBS' proprietary discovery engine PhenoGuard, and believes several other neurotrophic factors remain to be discovered. Amarantus has entered into a binding letter of intent to license the therapeutic assets from Elto Pharma, Cutanogen and MANF Therapeutics to Emerald Organic Products.

9 Flippin' Fantastic Flip Chart Tricks

While flip charts may seem old school in this digital age, they are a critical tool to help facilitators create buy-in, alignment, and engagement. On the flip side (pun intended), we've seen flip charts be a facilitator's downfall - distracting participants, harming credibility, and ultimately getting in the way of communicating the meeting objective.

The trick is in knowing how to use the flip chart so that it works for you – and your audience.

We've gathered up some of our best flip chart tricks, and have captured them below.

Image

1) Keep the flip chart on a blank page when not in use. This helps ensure it doesn't distract the audience with words from a previous conversation or topic that aren't relevant to current discussions.

Image

2) Tear out the flip chart pages that capture overarching concepts, and stick them on the wall in places easy for all to see. Now you can refer back to those at a later time, without having to search through your whole flip chart to find them.

3) Use short hand when brainstorming ideas. No need to capture complete sentences (it's hard to read, hard to fit, and hard to write without missing other comments). Instead, capture the overarching concept or key words on the flip chart.

Image

4) Pre-create wordy flip chart pages so the audience doesn't have to wait for you to write it in the moment. This works especially well for agendas or lists where you want them to see the information, but don't want to slow down the meeting by writing it all out real time.

Image

5) When writing on the flip chart, keep toes pointed more towards your audience than the flip chart. This will help you project out to the audience, instead of talking to the flip chart.

Image

6) Use pencil to write notes to yourself on flip chart pages ahead of time. This way if you have specific names or concepts you want to make sure to cover as you use the flip chart, you'll be able to easily reference them without the attendees seeing the light pencil strokes.

Image

7) Use color strategically on your flip chart. Stick to easy to read pen colors like blue, black, and green for main points. Then use orange, red, or yellow to circle or highlight concepts. This will help with readability and calling out key messages.

Image

8) Create and post a "parking lot" flip chart to help keep conversations on track. This allows you to capture topics that aren't relevant/appropriate to that meeting. It shows the audience they have been heard, and allows you to refocus on the main point of the meeting.

Image

9) Take pictures of relevant flip chart pages and send them to the audience as a follow-up resource. Seeing the visual of the page puts everyone back in the room, helping them to remember the conversation more fully.

With these tricks in hand, your use of flip charts will be sure not to flop!
